Idea to Start (ideatostart.in) is owned and operated by Daily Growth India Marketing Private Limited, a private limited company incorporated in India on 6 November 2023 (CIN: U47820RJ2023PTC090981), with its registered office at Shop No. 208, Second Floor, Shankheshwar Enclave, Sector 5, Hiran Magri, Udaipur, Rajasthan 313001, India.
This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have, in line with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
- Account details: name, email, mobile number, password (stored hashed).
- Profile details you add: company, sector, stage, city, team, photos, documents and pitch deck.
- Activity: follows, connections, messages, deal terms and support tickets.
- Payments: plan or credit purchased, amount, UPI transaction reference and invoices. Card and UPI details are handled by the payment provider (Razorpay) — we never see or store them.
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser, used for security and fraud prevention.
How we use it
To run your account and the platform, verify your email and mobile number with one-time codes, show your profile to other members as you choose, process payments and issue invoices, keep the community safe (for example by hiding contact details in chat), provide support and meet legal obligations. We don't sell personal data.
Who can see what
- Public: the approved profile you choose to publish, follower and following counts.
- Signed-in members: your profile details, deck and pitch video.
- Only you and our team: your phone, email, documents and payment records.
- Only the people in a conversation: your messages and the documents you share there. Our safety team may open a conversation only to review a report or a contact-details request, and every such access is logged.
Sharing
We share data only with service providers who help us run the platform (hosting, email, SMS and payment processing), under confidentiality, or when the law requires it.
Retention and security
We keep data while your account is active and as long as the law requires for invoices and records. Data is encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed and access is limited to authorised staff.
Your rights
You can view and update your details, download your data or delete your account from Settings, and withdraw consent for optional emails at any time.
